Meet the guardians of Blackbeard's Treasure, The Southern Rays. Join in the feeding program, and meet these gentle rays face-to-face. In a protected marine habitat, guests can take their time and wade slowly into the water to play with these docile marine animals, or they can grab a mask and snorkel to dive below the surface and witness the ray’s graceful undulating swim. Or with the help of one of the trainers, you can have a ray lie in your arms for a fabulous photo souvenir.
Committed to the conservation of these sea creatures, the trainers will give the guests an educational briefing before the interaction. Guest safety is a top priority, so the ray’s barbs are trimmed back on a regular basis, (much like a manicure!) and with a good crew of experienced animal caretakers, it is a painless and stress free process.
