Fred Lunn. General Manager:
Mr. Frederick Lunn is presently General Manager of Blackbeard’s Cay responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Island. Mr. Lunn was formerly general Manager for Crystal Cay Marine Park and Villas and Operations and Marketing Manager for Chelsea’s Choice Water Company. He has over 30 years national and international experience in the hospitality industry and water manufacturing. Mr. Lunn has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Maryland.
An active member of the Rotary Club of Nassau, Frederick was honored with a Paul Harris Fellow in 1998 and 2000. He is presently Executive Vice President of the Bahamas Football Association (soccer) and Chairman for both Errol Brown’s “Children in Need at Christmas” Golf Tournament and James Bethel Memorial Golf Tournament.
Moniqua Farquharson, Operations Manager:
Ms. Moniqua Farquharson is presently Operations Manager of Blackbeard’s Cay responsible for the day-to-operation of the Island. Ms. Farquharson is formerly an employee of Nassau Cruises Ltd/Blue Lagoon Island. She has over 7 years of national experience in the hospitality industry. Ms. Farquharson has Bachelors degree in Business Management and a Bachelors degree and Accounts from Omega College. She is presently attending the University of Liverpool to obtain her Master’s Degree in International Management.
Tyrone Watkins. Sales Manager:
Mr. Tyrone Watkins is presently Sales Manager at Blackbeard's Cay with responsibility for all Cruise Ship Operations and Internet Business. Tyrone has been directly involved in the Cruise ship industry for over 10 years, holding various positions at Nassau Cruises (Blue Lagoon Island) and presently at Blackbeard's Cay. He has completed numerous industry certified courses and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the company in these specific areas.
Wanda Harris: Group Sales Manager:
Ms. Wanda Harris is presently Sales Manager of Blackbeard’s Cay responsible for the booking groups both locally and internationally. Ms. Harris was formerly a Sales Manager for Thriller Powerboat Tours and Tour and Excursion Manager for Nassau Cruises Ltd. She has over 11 years experience in the hospitality industry.
Marvin Kerr. Island Manager:
Mr. Marvin Kerr is presently the Island Manager at Blackbeard's Cay. Responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the island, he is the former senior captain at United Shipping, captain at Dolphin Encounters and Sea Island Adventures. Mr. Kerr was also a first Officer/captain at Bahamas Ferries. He holds a 300 ton 'A' master’s captain's license with over 20 years experience in the tourism hospitality industry.
He is also an active member of Angelic Baptist Church.
Angela Pattusch, Marketing Manager:
Angela has been involved in the excursion industry in the Bahamas for almost 15 years, and is now active in tour development and marketing for Blackbeard’s Cay. A long time conservationist and animal advocate; she was the Marketing Director for Ardastra Gardens; the only conservation center in the Bahamas. In this capacity she helped ensure its place as a success story within the community. She was a Basra control officer volunteer, and an active member of the Rotary Club of East Nassau. Her experience helps guide Blackbeard’s Cay in doing its part in bringing awareness and compassion towards the marine environment and its magnificent inhabitants.
Charlotte Johnson, Office Manager:
Charlotte has been the Office Manager for Blackbeard’s Cay for three years; she has had eleven years of experience in the hospitality industry in the Bahamas, specifically with island excursions such as Nassau Cruises, Blue Lagoon.
Captain Bradley ‘BoBo’ Hall:
captain BoBo has been a man of the sea for most of his life. He began with Blackbeard’s Cay in 1997 during the construction phase for the island. He has earned his A Class Captain’s license and is senior captain of the Coral 11, a 65 ft catamaran and is also responsible for maintenance of all vessels.
Torin Ferguson:
Torin has been with the company since 2004, he began as a Southern ray trainer and due to his responsible nature, care of the animals and charisma with the guests, and he has recently been promoted to Stingray Park Manager.
Kevin Rolle:
Kevin was also one of the first employees at BBC; he began with the company in 1997 working the construction phase and moved onto the Coral 11 as first mate in 2000. His keen sense of responsibility and diligence towards safety and guests services earned him a promotion to Stingray Park Assistant Manager.
